Every freddy account has a direct URL and an MCP key. The direct URL is tied to your account. Most of the time you only need it.
Your direct URL
- It looks like
https://freddy.coach/mcp/followed by seven letters and numbers. - Add it to an AI app as a remote MCP server, then sign in to freddy when the app asks.
- To add another freddy account of your own to the same AI app, add that account's direct URL as its own connection. Give each one a name that says which account it is.
- The link does nothing on its own. It only works after you sign in, or with your key.
Your MCP key
- It's for an app or script that can't sign in. Send it with every request as an
Authorization: Bearer <key>header, with your direct URL as the server URL. - If an app can only take a URL and can't send a header, the older
https://freddy.coach/mcp/<key>form still works for now.
Where to find them
- On the web: the AI apps page, under Your direct URL.
- In the freddy app: the AI tab. The app asks you to confirm it's you before it shows or copies the key.
- The key stays hidden until you choose Reveal. Copy key works without revealing it.
Keep the key private
Anyone who has your MCP key can use your freddy account the way your AI app does. They can:
- read everything freddy stores for the account, including your email address and plan
- start a sync, or start connecting a new source (only you, signed in to freddy, can finish that)
- accept updates to freddy's terms
- disconnect a source, which also deletes the data freddy stored for it
So treat it like a password. Add it to your own AI account only, never to an organization or workspace connector. If it ever ends up somewhere it shouldn't, rotate it.
Rotate your key
Rotate it from the Your direct URL card, on the web or in the app.
- The old key stops working at once, including in the older URL form. Give the new key to the apps that still need it.
- Your direct URL stays the same.
- Apps you connected with sign-in keep working.
- Signing out of freddy on a device doesn't stop the key. Only rotating does.
