Updated

Polar tracks sleep, recovery, training load, and continuous heart rate across runs, rides, and strength sessions.

Gemini CLI is a developer command-line tool, not the consumer Gemini app. The app connects separately and needs Gemini Spark.

What you can do with Polar data in Gemini CLI

  • Have the Gemini CLI pull your Polar workouts into a shell workflow
  • Ask Gemini CLI about your Polar heart rate from your terminal
  • Have the Gemini CLI pull your Polar training load into a shell workflow
  • Ask Gemini CLI about your Polar sleep from your terminal
  • Have the Gemini CLI pull your Polar recovery into a shell workflow

Set up in a few steps

  1. Install the Gemini CLI, then run: gemini mcp add --transport http freddy with your freddy MCP URL.
  2. This writes a freddy entry to ~/.gemini/settings.json using the httpUrl field.
  3. Restart the Gemini CLI; the freddy tools become available.
  4. Confirm Polar is connected on the freddy dashboard.
  5. Ask the Gemini CLI about your Polar data.

freddy is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Gemini CLI.
